The Goans of Arusha Trust (G.O.A.), are proud to have their website. Thanks to
Sebastiao Fernandes (a.k.a. Seby) and Alain Randria for creating this website.

The G.O.A. held the 1st East African Goan Youth Camping Trip at the Travas Family Farm in Arusha From the 27th of December to The 30th December 2011.

The main reason for us organising this camp was to unite the youth from the various regions and help them to socialize and interact with each other at a higher level, they also learned various camping and team building skills which would benefit them in some way or the other.

We are happy to say that we recieved a very positive feedback from the youth, and will definetly organize more events like these.

More information and pictures on the camping trip coming soon

Message Form The Chairman

Welcome to our website and thank you for spending time to know about us.
Geographically, we, the Goans of Arusha (G.O.A.) are located in the northern region of Tanzania.

We are joined by the Goans of Moshi to be in our ambit. Arusha is the mid-point between Cape Town and Cairo while Moshi lies on the foothills of Mt. Kilimanjaro, the highest mountain of Africa.

The G.O.A. is a registered Trust. In addition to social gatherings, we look into welfare issues to the extent we can manage, and we integrate with other communities.

Since its formation in 1990, the G.O.A. has steadily grown and has now received recognition from Goan communities within East Africa.

We are happy to share our experiences with the rest of the world and we hope this will propagate to the generations to come our traditions.

In ending my note, I wish to thank the past and present managing committees and the community members for their tireless efforts to keep our trust serving at all times.
